Meet Duke! Duke was wandering and found by a good Samaritan who reached out for help. Duke is on the smaller side and gets along with most dogs, the vet has his DOB estimated at Feb 2022. He loves cats, shows no interest in chickens/ducks but has not yet been trained with larger livestock. He is a sweet and affectionate dog without being too pushy and gets wiggly when he wants attention. He loves to run and is very agile and fast! He accepts brushing and teeth checks and takes food very gently. The foster has increased his trust of collars and leashes and stated he needs a little help jumping into the car, then he does well on the ride. He's very food motivated, has some developing recall and alerts appropriately without excessive barking. He loves toys and digging but not to escape. He's very sensitive to loud noises especially gunshots, shy of loud voices, and easily startled by fast movements, but is improving on all of these with the love and patience of the foster. He would likely be better as a companion dog (or farm dog with supervision) and not a true working LGD. DNA is pending and he's scheduled for his neuter on October 13th. He will be ready to go to his forever home after he heals! Duke is in Snohomish and can be available within WA-OR. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing.
