Meet SUNDAY! Sunday is a 4-year-old pyr mix that weighs approximately 75lbs, he is a big guy that is on the timid, shy side. Sunday was saved at the last hour from euthanasia due to overcrowded shelters.  He is not destructive inside or outside the home.  He is crate and potty trained.  He never barks hardly at all but may to indicate he needs to go outside.  At first, he was scared of the crate but has learned that it is a safe place and that he will not have to stay in the crate long times. He was also scared of the car but has learned the car can be fun and is not to take him to the shelter!

He sleeps in his crate or on a doggie bed at night.  He plays with male and female dogs and both big and small dogs.  Cats are an unknown.  He would be great with older kids and is sweet, loving, but on the shy timid side.  He has been in training and knows how to walk on a leash, sit command, stay command, and working on lay down.  He does not jump up on his humans and will sit patiently for goodies.  He loves all food and goodies and is food motivated but not food aggressive.  He would be a great walking partner or just chill with you by the AC or the fireplace.  He is medium energy not hyper but not low energy. He takes a minute to warm up to you but once he trusts you, he will lay down next to you and roll on his side for belly rubs, such a gentle soul.  He has the cutest and sweetest personality but can be shy when meeting new people.  His ideal home could be a family with older children, a couple, or a single person and be calm without loudness and without chaos, he would do well with a doggie buddy.  He wants to be with you, be loved on, be part of the family, but must be patient and give him time to learn you.  Overall, he is a beautiful handsome shy guy that needs a loving forever home.  He has a gorgeous tail that looks like a horse’s main and is tall and lanky.  With patience, he is a total sweetheart of a dog and very loving to his foster and his other humans.  Sunday is currently in Texas but can be on the next NW transport!
