Mr Wilfred is a sweet and easy going senior who was pulled from an animal control facility into our senior program as a hospice dog. His current two fosters have rehabilitated him with tender loving care and a LOT of good food, so he has gathered his strength and wants to stick around a little while longer to see what life has in store! His first foster mom says: “He’s a great cuddle buddy and just wants to be loved. He seeks out pets and loves and repays you in love and soulful-eyed gratitude.” His current foster mom says, "he's a love! He gets lovingly protective of his person and likes to hover." He's a smart guy and not afraid to open doors to get around. Mr. Wilfred would make an amazing companion for a retired individual seeking a best friend for small adventures as he loves to go on small walkabouts to check things out. The vet originally estimated Mr. W to be 13-14 years old but since his health has improved, he's like Benjamin Buttons and aging backwards! The vet thinks he may be around 7 years old. We are seeking a long term senior foster and he would love to be the only pet in the household as he’s not wanting to share the attention! Mr W has some weakness in his rear which is typical of older dogs and is currently being watched for digestive upset. Do you have room in your heart and home for Mr. Wilfred? All medical is paid by the rescue (including prescription food and supplements). We think he could make the transport to the PNW if his pyrfect person is found! He is also available for sponsorship for just $25 per month you can help with his food and medical! All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing.
