Say hello to sweet and playful Twix! Twix is an adorable 10-month-old Anatolian Shepard mix, and she weighs 55 pounds. She would love to find an active and loving forever family to play with her every day and guide her as she grows up. Twix’s favorite things are toys that she can pick up, chew on, and throw around. She prances around when she is happy, wants to give hugs when she sees you, and she uses her paws to communicate with her humans. She also loves to give puppy kisses to everything and everyone! As a puppy, Twix can be a bit mischievous, and her favorite things to chew on are shoes and remotes. Her forever family must make sure to close closet doors at night and put remotes away, because if those items are left out, Twix is on a mission to find them! She also loves her water bowl so much that she frequently picks it up, dumps the water out, and carries it with her.
Twix is shy and submissive when meeting new people and new dogs, so slow introductions (especially with people) are best. Twix is talkative in the backyard when she hears unfamiliar noises, and she will also bark if strangers come through the front door and startle her. She is quick to warm up to new people once you get down on her level and show her that you are there to love her. She is working on her leash skills, knows the command SIT, and sleeps through the night, no accidents in the house!
Twix is still young and has some separation anxiety, so she would do best in a home with a confident resident dog, and humans that aren’t gone for long periods of time. She is very treat and food motivated, and lays down to eat all of her meals.
She has a sweet and sensitive soul and needs a family that will use positive reinforcement to build up her confidence with new people and new situations! Twix is currently being fostered in Boise, ID!
