Hello! My name is Captain and I’m a 1year old, 61 lbs handsome Anatolian mix. In my past life I think I was an Olympic track runner. You should see me zoom and leap. I was found by a wonderful lady who said I was left at the end of the road with a bag of dog food. I was waiting for my owner to come back but I don’t know how long I was out there for... the days were so hot in Texas. But this lady was so nice I decided I could trust her and she took me in to GPPR! My new adventure awaits! I’m looking for a home that has an active lifestyle. I have a ton of energy so lots of walks and runs a day would make me happy. I also need another dog (or more!) to keep me company so we can continue to play in the yard. I need my new parents to have strong leadership skill. My foster parents say I’m really smart but also kind of stubborn at times. I’m still learning day by day because all I want to do is make you happy, so please have patience with me.  I’m getting better on my leash, and I love all people and all dogs! I would do best in a home with no young children since I’m a big boy that likes to romp around. At the end of the day, I need a good couch to come snuggle you. I have so much love to give that I’ll just sprawl over you and tuck my head into yours. Do you have room in your home for an Olympic gold medalist like me?? All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Transport Fee: $300

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and receive a certificate of health prior to transport.
